HAPPY & YOU KNOW IT

Review time: Oh man so I guess a lot of people loved this book and I’m here with an #unpopularopinion of I didn’t like it 🙈⠀

It took me so much effort to get into the book even though I was excited for it and that should’ve been my first warning that I was about to be disappointed.⠀

The plot was a great concept and could’ve been so much better but the characters felt flat and there was so much more that could’ve been done! HAPPY & YOU KNOW IT just really had something missing and I think for me my biggest let down was the reveal about the vitamins. It wasn’t high stakes, it didn’t get my heart racing like OMG, and it could have been so much better! From that point onward the rest of the book fell so so flat, it was weak imo and even the ending just didn’t do it for me. It didn’t fit with the characters, it didn’t fit with the magnitude of what happened… it just felt like some development was missing.⠀

I’m really so sad because I heard so much great stuff about this book and how it’s like Gossip Girl reminiscent and was so excited because I love GG but it just missed the mark. Maybe if they make it into a TV show they will have better success developing the intensity of the plot climax!⠀

My six word review:⠀
Didn’t live up to the hype⠀
