It’s cute, it’s fun, and it tackles some tougher topics. Liya has gone through some shit, has a difficult relationship with her parents, and is a part of a community with a very deep culture and she isn’t interested in being a part of it. Jay also has some trauma and guilt but he’s loyal and loves his family *swoon*. Clearly they need each other but they reallyyyyy fight it at first.
