Meet Me Under the Mistletoe

Return to high school in a castle
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
That’s what Nory is doing, because she went to boarding school in the English countryside.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
But she was a scholarship kid and her friends are not. And the inner battle of her two parts of her continues as she visits her family, decidedly blue collar, and her friends, wealthy beyond measure.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Especially when her school enemy Isaac is now the gardener at the castle and he’s 🔥
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
My thoughts:
Of all the Jenny Bayliss books this was my favorite. I just really struggle to feel the joy and romance from the very buttoned up Brits!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This isn’t a Christmas book!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Nory runs a bookshop in London and that’s so cool!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
So much high school drama it was just annoying! So much extra BS in this book. Chapters that were adding nothing to moving the plot!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I liked seeing her bring her two worlds together at the end and recognize two things can be true at once, and you don’t have to be all one thing or the other.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Overall I gave it 3 stars which for me, means indifference. Didn’t love it didn’t hate it.
