Review Time: Christmas In Vermont was a really enjoyable read for the season! I won this book from @thebookend.diner and and made soon as I got it it went straight to the front of my TBR!
Emma has a curse of sorts in her regarding men, as soon as they get close to the one year mark she finds some reason to end it, right before Christmas! The only relationship she really remembers having potential was in college with Fletcher. Her best friend decides that she needs to look into Fletcher and behind her back discovered he’s a divorced play director and living in New York too! He is spending the holiday in Vermont, so as a gift Emma gives her a week over christmas and New Years at the same bed and breakfast! Why leave it up to chance when we have the internet and credit cards?
Things quickly go wrong when Emma discovers Fletcher is still divorced, but has a kid and is newly engaged! How are they supposed to reconnect when he has a fiancé!? The B&B owner is having some staffing issues and Emma helps out as the kids club leader for the only kid at the inn, Fletcher’s daughter who seems to have a nose for meddling.
As New Years draws closer, a project to save the B&B, a jealous woman, and a wanna-be star bring Fletcher and Emma together and sparks begin to fly!
My thoughts: I thought this book was so adorable and picturesque, however I did struggle with how Fletcher and Emma went from being ice cold to each other and barely speaking to on a date in 2 pages. I felt there was room for a lot of development there but I’m such a romantic it was easy to overlook! I give this ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ stars!
My six word review:
Small snowy towns are so romantic!
