I couldn’t finish American Royals fast enough! Where do I even begin to explain why I loved this book so much?? If you haven’t heard what American Royals is about.. well the whole premise of the plot is if George Washington was made a King and not the first President — what would America look Like? And then, the author brought us up to 2019 and the current royal family and all the ins and outs of their drama.
From Samantha’s wild ways, to Beatrice’s silent doubts and other secret acts, to Jackson’s secret love with his twin Samantha’s best (commoner) friend and his jealous, meddling ex, the royal family has quite a lot of drama! I loved how they wove modern life and pieces of actual American history into a monarchy while giving us behind the scenes looks at how a royal family lives and what those dynamics are like.
