#TabooRomance Review
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Birthday Girl by Penelope Douglas
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
19 year old Jordan and her boyfriend move in with her boyfriends father because they need a place to live. Pike, her boyfriends father, is young at 38 but has built a comfortable life for himself by working hard. Jordan is a bartender and struggling to make ends meet while her *spoiler* PIECE OF GARBAGE boyfriend drinks his life away.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Pike notices how bad his son treats Jordan and doesn’t like it. And now steps in helping Jordan when his son fails to. Jordan cooks for him and cleans for him instead of paying rent, and they enjoy meals on the couch. They realize they have a lot in common and enjoy each others company.

MY THOUGHTS on #birthdaygirlbook
The tension is INCREDIBLE in this book. It was super steamy, probably only like 🌶🌶🌶 or 🌶🌶🌶🌶 but because it’s taboo, it feels like more!

I loved Jordan and Pikes romance and connection. Their story was really fun to read. Jordan was relatable to me with an incredible work ethic that most people don’t develop in their teens, it makes it hard for her to relate to her age. I get that lol 😆

Definitely give this #boyfriendsdadromance a try, its definitely a #backlistread since it was published in 2018, but it’s super steamy and fun to read and it’s a #kindleunlimitedromance
