I call this “mafia-lite” or “cozy mafia” because while these are mafia romances, they are much lighter in content than most of the other mafia romances I’ve read

Don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed them and did read the whole series, but these aren’t dark at all, and even the spice is mid. It’s a good starting point for dipping your toes into mafia romances!

I’m giving the series 3.5 stars. Overall, it was good and enjoyable but not great. The spice levels were lower than expected and the books weren’t very dark for mafia. I did love seeing the setting of Chicago, I loved the warring families and that drama, and how the plot continued through the books, and I loved seeing the past couples come back in later books.
