Get A Life Chloe Brown

This was cute.
It was important, too.

I haven’t always read a lot of books with diverse characters, I have to admit. But I’ve been reading more lately and it always reminds me how important it is to strive for diversity in what we read and in our whole life. Get A Life, Chloe Brown is probably the only romance I’ve ever heard of or read about a woman with a disability, let alone a woman of color with a disability who is also curvy. I don’t ever even see romances about curvy women like myself and that was so freaking incredible to read. It’s obviously nothing compared to women of color or disabled women never seeing themselves in a novel but it has opened my eyes to why that is so important. I never got it until now, until I read a book I felt I was mildly represented in as a curvy girl, and now it all makes sense. Representation matters. Everyone deserves to see themselves in a book and fall in love and treated well and shown that however they exist THEY MATTER AND THEY ARE OF VALUE AND THEY ARE REPRESENTED!

Whooo!

I won’t summarize this book because 1. It’s everywhere and 2. I don’t have the space and 3. I can’t do it justice just go read it!
