It is a long book, 576 pages in paperback, but you get to follow Lady Margaret through her adventures as a young girl up through adulthood to her late twenties (Spinster age!) as she battles social norms, high society, and parents who don’t want to be shamed by having an independent daughter (gasp!). This is the opposite of Bridgerton, it’s clean, it’s tame, but you get a bit of that Eloise spirit!

It was a joy to read and follow her life, if a bit long and frustrating in some parts because she just doesn’t want to settle down even when she’s got a cute guy around!! I’m a romance reader, give me the Happy ending!! We get it, but after 576 pages!
