Book 📖 review time!
When a mother in law dies abruptly, and foul play is suspected it’s not unusual to suspect a family member, particularly a family member she didn’t get along with.
But what happens when she’s upset everyone in the family? Who do you suspect? The daughter in law she particularly picked up on? Well, what happens plays out in The Mother In Law in a mystery/family drama story and it was so good!
Lucy’s mother in law Diana just doesn’t seem to like her. They don’t connect, they struggle to communicate, but Lucy knows most people love Diana because she gives back so much. She just doesn’t always get that side of Diana. So when Diana ends up dead, Lucy is a major suspect. Especially since her husband is short on cash. But this book has a twist!
The book follows the murder investigation as well as Lucy’s journey in the family from her first meeting, her wedding, her first child, catching up to Diana’s death jumping between the two times. I gave this book ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ stars, it gripped my attention with a great plot and some really interesting characters but by the end it was fairly predictable.
