Besties with December birthdays, raised together by best friend Moms, and fellow Army veterans Nick and Noel are back together again now that Nick is home and not reenlisting. They’ve been best friends forever, and Noel is a part of Nick’s family especially once they took her in when her own died tragically in her teens, even though Noel doesn’t realize she’s a part of their family.

Noel is still managing her grief and swears she doesn’t want relationships or kids. Nick is home, thinking he’s going to propose to his on again off again high school girlfriend, and ready for a family. But when his girlfriend breaks up with him.. everything changes, and these two besties start to realize there might be more than friendship between them even as Noel fights it and works on overcoming her grief.
