Book 1: Y’all, I wanted to love this book but I was so disappointed. It was so hyped up and it just fell flat. Like really flat. I almost didn’t keep reading but I head so much I thought I needed to see it through.

Book 2: The series picked up and I really started to get more excited and invested but it felt like something was really missing. The addition of some new characters was much needed and I binge read this one!

Book 3: I was excited and ready for the good plot and characters to continue and then that ending. Sucked. So. Bad. So much disappointment. So much. Ughhhh!

And don’t get me started on the show. I hated the casting for the Darkling. I was so confused on the plot because it didn’t match the book. And the darkling wasn’t hot just creepy. I never got the hype for him ever in the books or the show. Overall this series was like a 3 star series only because of book 2…

So there’s that. The Six of Crows series was way better but still a little underwhelming and overhyped. But honestly why are we reading and hyping up fantasy books without spice and romance?! It feels like a waste! I was just waiting and waiting and it never happened.
