I did struggle to adjust to the new lands even though it’s in “the world of FBAA” but once I started to see the connection as a Prequel series, it all fit and I couldn’t put the book down.

It was dark and steamy, thanks to our leading man Nyktos. I mean I saw a goodreads review that called him Daddy Nyktos and that feels fitting. He is going to compete with Casteel for sure. Sera is similar to Poppy in many ways and wasn’t the highlight, at times I was annoyed with her or thought she was a little bit frustrating. But Daddy Nyktos and the baby Drakens really were the best part! His and Serephina’s romance parallels Poppy and Casteel, intentionally, but is much more of a slow burn IMO. Some people didn’t love that it parallels, but I’m sure JLA has plans for that👀
