I picked up the Peachtree Bluff series a few weeks ago and have slowly read my way through them as I’ve been waiting for them to arrive from the library.
At first, I wasn’t sure how I felt about those books. Sometimes the characters felt a little superficial, and very focused on their looks and their diets, and that is typically not something I’m very interested reading about. However the further I got in, I realized just how complex these characters were and I really fell in love with the women.
This is really a story about sisters growing up and supporting each other, wives mourning their “dream marriage”, Mothers struggling with the choices they make for their children, and daughters coming to understand the weight of the choices their mothers made. It really is about real womanhood and it’s beautiful.
My six word review:
Family comes together in difficult times
