holy sh*t @colleenhoover this is incredible. It’s dark, it’s steamy, it’s suspenseful, it’s a cant stop won’t stop till it’s over psychological thriller/romance and it’s ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ so easily!
I have seen this book all over bookstagram and it’s been recommended to me about 100 times so I figured with one week of spooky season left I better round it out with a spooky book. This is a perfect book for people like me who are mega wimps!! For fans of Gone Girl and The Last Mrs. Parrish, this is your next read. trust me. I would like to include some trigger warnings for Attempted abortion, car accidents, child abuse and neglect, infidelity, suicidal ideation, and murder.
Spoilers may follow: A famous author, name to Verity Crawford, got into a bad car accident and is unable to finish the last few books in her series. Her agent publishers and family decide to hire a co-author for her to finish the novels. As it so happens, starving author Lowen Ashleigh has just been evicted from her home, lost her mom, has no book proposals, and is in need of some money. After she witnesses a terrible accident, a very handsome man on the street helps her on her way to her meeting. This handsome man, is Verity Crawford’s husband and caregiver and Lowen takes the job. She goes to visit them to get Verity’s notes on her series but what Lowen discovers instead, is Verities autobiography that reveals some very dark and twisted secrets from her marriage and past. As she continues to learn more about who she is staying with, she falls in love with Verity’s husband while questioning the extent of Verity’s health complications. What happens when she begins to dig deeper, is truly crazy.
