Best friends to lovers is such a great trope holy crap! The trust they have, the intimacy, the memories, makes every interaction SO MUCH BETTER! Plus we all know the best relationships are where partners are also besties!
I loved the Spark Sisters and their closeness, but also how real they were. They felt like a normal family and running an event space together can’t be easy. Then you add in the guys, and their friendship with Avery and each other is just so dang cute. And then Declan.😍😍
He wasn’t the best, he had some flaws, but that’s why I loved this story. It wasn’t some cheesy shit that pushed them apart, it was real life stuff. The need for therapy, to heal yourself from past trauma and prepare yourself for love, the need for space to do so. So often there are these far fetched scenarios that push couples apart in romances, but this was real, and felt authentic and genuine. I really loved it.
Avery is also such a great character. I loved her job (dream job maybe?!) and her passion for her family and her career. Her strength in recovery was inspiring, and even though I don’t love playing the athletic sports that she does, I’m always down to watch Monday Night Football!
Oh also this book is 🌶🔥🌶🌶🌶🌶🔥🌶🔥🔥🌶🌶 I was so glad I was listening to this book in the car by myself!!
